BMW Motorrad Customising Championship

We proudly reveal the Triumphant victors of the Semi Final R 18 Customizing Chapionship 2023. The seven bikes are now set to showcase their unrivaled artistry on the grand stage of the finals in Berlin. Our distinguished panel of judges comprised of industry luminaries such as Roland Sands, Thor Drake, J. Shia, Michael Lichter, Giuseppe Roncen, and Yuichi Yoshizawa, meticulously analyzed each bike against a demanding set of criteria. 

The evaluation encompassed the following key aspects:

1. Spirit of BMW Motorrad
2. Harmony of Image
3. Complexity of Work and Details
4. Finishing
5. Rideability

This rigorous evalutation, carried out by our esteemed jury, ensures that the chosen winner genuinely embodies the core of the BMW Motorrad R 18 Customizing Championship 2023.

In addition to six remarkable motorcycles handpicked by the jury, the final lineup proudly introduces a seventh bike. This addition emerged as the result of a public vote, underscoring the passion and involvement of the broader motorcycle community.

The UK winners of this year's BMW Custom Championships have been announced; the Night Dragon and runner up the Cotswold Cruiser.

The Night Dragon from Pier City Customs & Dimi Mouras has a vintage guise, not only to complement the heritage range of which the R 18 is derived from, but to complement the natural aging process the customer associates with the bikes copper accents. 

The Cotswold Cruiser draws inspiration from the classic California Cruiser style with a British twist. Inspired by the beautiful rolling countryside of the Cotswolds home to its creator's, Derek Tooze and the talented team at Cotswold Motorrad.

The two custom bikes are heading to the European- semi-final for a chance to go to the Berlin grand finals later this year.
