It may be the oldest motorcycle brand in the world, dating back to 1903, but when it comes to communicating with its fans and customers, Husqvarna is right up to date with all the latest information, news and reviews now available on its newly-launched official Facebook page and YouTube channel.

Because the brand is involved in so many motorsport activities all over the world, from enduro to cross-country, supermoto and motocross, as well as producing an extensive range of street-legal and competition sport machines from its headquarters in Varese, Italy, it was decided that the best way to communicate with its growing fan base was via social media, according to Federico Valentini, Husqvarna’s Marketing and Communication specialist.

“It’s a very busy time for the Husqvarna world, so we wanted our fans to be able to keep right up to date with all the action by following us on Facebook. Because of our Italian heritage, we are making the fan pages in Italian as well as English languages and we will be including all the latest Husqvarna news from all over the world. This will include many photos and videos of competitions and events we are participating in, such as the 2011 Enduro World Championship, as well as the exciting worlds of Extreme Enduro, motocross and cross-county.”

Husqvarna’s official Facebook page will also play a key role for the launch of new models and the ongoing promotion of the current line-up of motorcycles in its 2011 model range. Fans will also be able to see interviews with all the Enduro World Championship official factory riders, plus news and updates from the 2011 series, as well as the Motocross World Championships, both of which start in April.

Husqvarna’s official YouTube Channel contains a wide variety of video content for all fans of the brand, such as clips of the latest customer motorcycles in the range as well as footage of many of the factory riders, including E1 class 2010 World Enduro Champion Antoine Meo on his TE250, the legendary Juha Salminen testing Akropovic exhausts, and much more.
